AI for Business Workshop: What's Now, What's New, and What's Next?
PLUS: How to Use Perplexity Deep Research Now (for Free)
I spent a lot of time this weekend building my AI for Business workshop, "What's Now, What's New, and What's Next?"
This will be an in-person event with lunch served. It will take place on Feb. 26 from 9 AM-1 PM at the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce, 612 Garrison Avenue.
When you build a workshop and slap a $200 price tag on it, a couple of thoughts immediately jump into your brain:
Thought 1: No one is going to show up.
Thought 2: Just in case they do, you better be ready.
I got word last Monday (Feb. 10) that 10 people had already registered.
I am shocked and humbled by the faith these folks are placing in me to teach them something valuable.
But, considering this is about AI and not Aric Mitchell, I probably shouldn't be.
AI is such an in-demand skill right now, and those who engage with it will have a definite advantage as it changes our economy and job market in the months and years ahead.
(And months that feel like years.)
If you're in the Fort Smith area, or within traveling distance, I promise you'll leave with skills that feel like magic.
I'll share with you what I know.
You'll get a chance to use AI tools on your own, learn from each other, and leave with a deeper understanding of how you can transfer those skills to 10x your career and personal life.
There's still time to join, and I hope you will.
Part of the proceeds go to benefit the Chamber organization, which does a phenomenal job of promoting our region.
And, even if you don't, thank you for continuing to subscribe to this newsletter. Let's have a great week!
Perplexity AI's Deep Research Now Free: How It Works
Perplexity AI has released its Deep Research feature to free users. It's pretty simple to use.
Once you've created an account (I just one-click tied it to my Gmail), click the Deep Research option so that it shows in the chat box.
From there, you can select one of the suggested prompts or enter your own. I chose this prompt from the list:
what's the latest scientific research on the effect of alcohol on health
In four minutes (I timed it), it searched 51 sources, showing me its progress along the way.
There also was an option to be notified on my Desktop when it was complete, but I wanted to watch how it played out.
Four minutes, complete with cited sources.
Amazing.
